Engr.Shawkat is highly skilled structural engineer with over 16 years of experience specializing in the structural design of tall to supertall towers across the Middle East, including the UAE and Iraq. Currently serving as the Lead Structural Engineer at Access Engineering Consultants in Dubai, Engr Shawkat has been instrumental in shaping the skylines of major cities through his expertise in designing complex, high-rise structures. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology in Bangladesh and is licensed by the Dubai Municipality as an Unlimited Structural Design Engineer.

Engr Shawkat has led the structural design of multi-billion AED projects, such as multiple Highrise towers in Baghdad's Yarmouk district for Al Naji Group and significant developments in Dubai and Sharjah in UAE. Engr Shawkat's proficiency with industry-standard software like ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON and STAAD.Pro etc. allows him to execute complex structural analyses and designs that meet rigorous safety and aesthetic standards. His deep understanding of international engineering codes and standards ensures that his projects adhere to the highest levels of structural integrity and compliance. An active member of professional organizations such as IET(UK), ASCE, Engineers Australia, the Society of Engineers UAE and IEB Bangladesh.
